Enoch Bergman grew up in Wild Horse, Colorado, where his family had homesteaded in 1909. Wild Horse, population 12 is located on the high plains of the eastern end of the state of Colorado, which is otherwise typically known for its mountainous terrain. Enoch graduated as the valedictorian of his high school class of seven students in 1992. He then went on to the University of Northern Colorado where he received a Bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry in 1996. Enoch then commenced vet school at Colorado State University, receiving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2001.
After graduation, Enoch struck off on his own, primarily engaging in feedlot work. He also worked as a relief veterinarian and as a sale barn veterinarian. In 2003 he enrolled in a food animal medicine internship at Colorado State University.
Enoch had always been interested in Australia and after completing his internship, he decided to look for work down under. He networked, via email, seeking clinics with large beef cattle caseloads. The Swan’s had come across his resume and after a few phone conversations, reference submissions, and immigration negotiations Enoch was on a plane headed half way around the world.
Since his arrival Enoch has been actively involved in Australian BVDV research. In 2006 he established Australia’s first commercial laboratory for the diagnosis of animals Persistently Infected with BVDV. He travels throughout Australia delivering lectures on BVDV and other cattle topics. Enoch has also represented Australia speaking both in the US and China.
Enoch quickly fell in love with Esperance and decided to stay. In mid 2006 he became a partner in the practice and in 2008 he married his lovely wife Jayme, so we guess he is here to stay!

Sharon was born and raised on a wheat and sheep farm near Kondinin, WA. After living in Seattle, Canberra and Perth, she moved with her family to her husband's home town of Esperance for a ‘sea/tree change’ in 2010. Sharon has two teenage children, they live on a 4 acre bush block near town with their dog Bella, cat Monty and assorted chickens.

Sharon has nearly 20 years of office experience in a variety of roles. She left work to be a stay at home Mum for her children then, when her kids started school, Sharon enroled to study part-time at Curtin University. Seven years later she completed her Bachelor of Science in 2010.

Having enjoyed the laboratory components of her degree, she was very excited to join the Swan's BVDV lab as the Manager in 2011.

In her spare time Sharon enjoys spending time with her family and has recently discovered a passion for nature and landscape photography.

Lauren was raised on a broad acre farm in Jerramungup, moving to Perth to attend boarding school. After school Lauren continued to live in the city until purchasing a 10 acre block in Bakers Hill and commuting to Perth for work. Lauren has over 10 years administration experience.
Her husband was born and raised in Esperance so when the opportunity came up they packed the two dogs and two horses relocating at the beginning of 2011. Lauren and her husband now live on 800 acres 25 mins out of Esperance; they have expanded to 2 children, 2 horses, 2 ponies, 2 dogs and a cat.
