SVS provides Veterinary Bull Breeding and Soundness Evaluations and are BULLCHECK® accredited. This means we use the standardized examination developed by the Australian Cattle Veterinarians to identify those bulls at increased risk of being subfertile.

We use the latest Lane Pulsator electroejaculator to efficiently collect semen samples. Crush side we perform a physical exam, scrotal circumference assessment, and sperm motility via microscope. We then use the collected sample to have the sperm morphology assessed externally. Our vets are able to advise if and when a recheck of bulls that initially fail the exam may be conducted.

We are also equipped to perform capacity testing examinations at request. This allows us to evaluate the bull’s capacity for mating, as well as his fertility.
