We recommend vaccinations for all pets to help provide protection against potentially fatal diseases.
Dogs:
Core vaccinations are Parvovirus, Distemper, Hepatitis (C3)
Non-core vaccinations are Kennel/Canine cough (Bordetella Bronchoseptica and Parainfluenza) (KC or combined with C3 to make C5)
Schedule for Puppies:
6-8 weeks C3
10-12 weeks C5
14-16 weeks C3
Adult dogs:
Annual health checks with your Veterinarian at which time your pet will be given booster vaccinations. We recommend either an annual or triennial C3 booster and an annual KC booster.
We also offer titre testing to check your dog’s immunity to some of these diseases if appropriate.
Cats:
Core vaccinations are Herpesvirus, Calicivirus and Panleukopenia (F3)
Non-core vaccination are Chlamydia, Leukemia (Combined to make F5) and Feline Aids (FIV)
Schedule for Kittens:
6-8 weeks F3 or F5 + FIV
10-12 weeks FIV
14-16 weeks F3 or F5 + FIV
Adult cats:
Annual health checks with your Veterinarian at which time your pet will be given booster vaccinations. All feline vaccinations require yearly boosters.
Our Veterinarians are more than happy to discuss these vaccinations and what is the most appropriate option for your pets.
Microchipping
Microchipping is an essential tool allowing permanent and nation wide identification of your pet. All cats and dogs are now required by law to be microchipped. This is a simple procedure which can be performed during routine consultation, or at a discounted rate at the time of another procedure under anaesthesia. Microchipping includes lifetime registration with an Australia wide animal registry.
