Malisha is a born and bred local who started her journey at Swans as a kennel hand at the age of 17 as an after school gig back in 2001. Over the years, she's gained a wealth of experience and returned to Swans in January 2023 after a diverse career path and a few years working at the local Pet Shop.

After finishing school, Malisha left Esperance to study Equine Breeding at Durham Lodge Thoroughbred Stud and Royal Star Standardbreds in Muchea. She then switched gears and pursued a trade in cabinet making before returning to her passion for horses, working at Clare Downs Performance Horses in the Porongurups.

Malisha loves spending quality time with her two girls and their pets. She enjoys horse riding, gardening, Muay Thai, and woodwork. Her extended family includes a Kelpie named Marly, a Whippet named Matilda, a Quarter Horse named Tooty, axolotls named Geoffrey and Darling, some "exotic" fish, and a bunch of yabbies whose names elude her.
