Kate was born in Esperance and grew up on her family's farm located an hour east of Esperance. She and her family share a number of pets- donkeys, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, chooks & ducks! Kate's love of animals saw her join the Swans team in January 2012 and she has since become a qualified Veterinary Nurse.

Kate enjoys all aspects of her job & loves the vast variety of learning opportunities it offers.

Kate now lives in Esperance with her husband Brett, son Hamish & their beloved pets Gizmo the ginger cat, Kevin the Blue Heeler, who loves to travel out to the farm with her & their menagerie of chickens & ducks.
